Former WWE star Zoey Stark, now known as Zoey Serrano, has revealed the two wrestling moves she hated taking the most during her career.
In a video published to social media, Serrano singled out the Alabama Slam and piledriver, explaining that she believes both moves carry risks she personally isn’t comfortable taking.
The first move Serrano discussed was the Alabama Slam, revealing that she previously suffered a concussion while taking the maneuver.
“There’s two that come to mind. First one, Alabama Slam.
I hate it. I feel like it’s a dangerous move because you can’t control your momentum. You’re putting your 100% complete trust in the other person, and hopefully the other person knows their strength well enough to know how fast to bring you down. That is one that I’ve gotten injured on as far as getting a concussion. That’s why I personally don’t like taking them.”
Serrano then named the piledriver, pointing to the potential consequences if the move isn’t executed correctly. She referenced “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, who famously suffered a serious neck injury while taking a piledriver during his career.
“The other one would be a piledriver. I feel like they are really unsafe. If you are just slight, just inches off, inches, that could be the end of your career right there. I mean, I hate to say it. Look at Stone Cold Steve Austin. We all know the story. Risk versus reward. You gotta, like, always take that into account. Those moves aren’t worth the risk to me personally.”
For Serrano, the potential reward of taking either maneuver simply doesn’t outweigh the risks involved, particularly given her own experience suffering a concussion from an Alabama Slam.
