It’s been nearly six months since WWE announced that Blake Monroe would be joining the main roster, yet the former NXT Women’s North American Champion has not had an official match on SmackDown.

Monroe made her main roster debut in late June and immediately set her sights on Giulia. In the following weeks, she repeatedly attacked Giulia backstage. A match was finally scheduled for the August 21st episode of SmackDown; however, it never officially began as Monroe attacked Giulia during her entrance. Giulia later retaliated by attacking Monroe ahead of their rescheduled bout on September 4.

Monroe recently spoke with SPORF about various topics, including her long-awaited in-ring debut on the main roster.

Monroe said, “People are very impatient. Have you guys never taken time and care with anything? When you’re dating a woman, what do you think is going to happen on the first date? I’m betting it doesn’t happen, whatever you’re thinking. You have to wait for a good thing. I have always documented my journey very well, so I have a strong fanbase that has seen me go from the independent scene to Japan to America, now to NXT and WWE. So they’re so invested in me and want me to do well. People can get nervous or scared, and I understand that, but you have to have patience. Timing is everything. But I think that’s why people are invested in me, because they know me.”
