WWE programming is officially moving to Netflix in Japan.
During the September 14 episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE announced that Raw, SmackDown and NXT will begin streaming on Netflix for viewers in Japan starting October 1.
The move coincides with the expiration of WWE’s current agreement with ABEMA on September 30. ABEMA has been the home of WWE programming in Japan since 2023.
Netflix already carries WWE programming across numerous territories as part of the company’s international media rights agreement with the streaming platform.
In the United States, Netflix serves as the exclusive home of Monday Night Raw. Across most international markets, the service also carries SmackDown, NXT and WWE premium live events, although some territories remain covered by separate existing rights agreements.
The addition of Japan further expands WWE’s presence on Netflix and brings the company’s three weekly television brands together on the platform in the country beginning October 1.
Additional details surrounding WWE’s transition from ABEMA to Netflix in Japan are expected to be announced ahead of the launch.
