Former WWE star Ava (Simone Johnson), the daughter of WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, appeared on the podcast “What Do You Wanna Talk About?” with Cody Rhodes.
During the episode, she discussed various topics, including moments she is proud of when she stood up for others.
Ava said, “Yes, actually. I feel like every time that I spoke on something — I’m gonna air quote this — ‘controversial’ or that had somewhat of an unpopular opinion. I felt like every time that that happened I got my ass handed to me for it online, but there would be fans that would comment or message me. And they would say, ‘Thank you for speaking up on this, it means so much to us.’ Anytime like that.”
On her favorite person to work with when she was NXT General Manager:
“Ethan Page. I felt like Ethan came to NXT at a time where we needed someone like that. We needed someone who was so unapologetic, incredibly sure of themselves, and incredibly entertaining. A little bit of an asshole, but in the best way possible on TV. And I always felt like when I worked with Ethan, I was able to bring out a different side of Ava. And I loved going back and forth with Ethan. Off camera? Incredible person, sweetest, adored working with him. But yeah, I would say Ethan was my favorite.”
