AEW announced on Twitter (X) that former All-Atlantic and Trios Champion PAC has passed away at the age of 40.
AEW wrote, “All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac. A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability. PAC signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019, held multiple AEW Championships, and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends, and fans.”
Details surrounding PAC’s passing have not yet been revealed. As AEW noted, PAC began his wrestling career in 2004, working for various independent promotions in the UK, including the Scarborough Wrestling Alliance and Essex Championship Wrestling. His first match under the name PAC took place for the Independent Wrestling Federation in March 2004.
He continued his career in promotions such as IPW: UK and One Pro Wrestling before making his debut in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) in November 2006. PAC spent two years with PWG, during which he won the PWG World Tag Team Championship alongside Roderick Strong. He also worked with Dragon Gate for several years in the late 2000s and early 2010s before signing a contract with WWE in 2012.
PAC debuted in WWE as Adrian Neville in January 2013 on WWE NXT. He won the NXT Championship and had two runs as NXT Tag Team Champion before moving to the main roster, where he became the WWE Cruiserweight Champion. In October 2017, he famously walked out of WWE RAW, leading to his contract being frozen. He eventually left the company in August 2018.
In January 2019, PAC signed with AEW as one of the first roster members. During his time with AEW, he was part of the Death Triangle alongside Penta and Rey Fenix. He won the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Championship and had a successful run as Trios Champion with his stablemates. After the dissolution of Death Triangle, he teamed with Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta to win the Trios Championships again.
PAC later joined the Blackpool Combat Club when they turned heel on Bryan Danielson, adopting the name Death Riders, and remained with the group throughout. He competed just this past Saturday at All Out, where he lost an AEW National Championship match to Andrade El Idolo.
