Following Wednesday’s combined episode of AEW Dynamite and Collision, which served as the go-home show for WrestleDream, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan took to his Twitter (X) account to announce that AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champion Jamie Hayter of the Brawling Birds sustained a significant injury at last month’s All Out pay-per-view (PPV). Hayter and her partner Alex Windsor defended their Women’s World Tag Team Championship against Divine Dominion in a brutal Chicago Street Fight at All Out 2026.

Khan mentioned that he anticipated the Brawling Birds would defend their titles against the current #1 contenders, Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron, presumably at WrestleDream this Saturday. However, fans will have to wait for that match because Hayter is currently sidelined with an injury.

Although Khan described the injury as “major,” he did not disclose the specifics, but he expressed optimism that Hayter would return to in-ring action in two weeks. Hayter was featured in a backstage segment alongside fellow United Empire members during last Wednesday night’s show.

Khan said, “I was hoping The Brawling Birds would be able to defend the Tag Team Championship, but Jamie Hayter, from that Chicago Street Fight, is still out injured. Hopefully Jamie Hayter will be back in a couple of weeks. But that was a major injury.”
