AEW’s All In: Texas event kicked off with emotional and unexpected news, as Adam Cole has officially vacated the TNT Championship due to being medically unable to compete.
The announcement came from AEW President Tony Khan, who revealed that Cole had not been cleared and would be unable to defend his title as originally scheduled against Kyle Fletcher.
To crown a new champion, AEW immediately scheduled a four-way match, featuring:
– Kyle Fletcher
– Dustin Rhodes
– Sammy Guevara
– Daniel Garcia
Before the title match took place, an emotional Adam Cole came to the ring at Globe Life Field to personally address the crowd. Cole acknowledged ongoing health issues and confirmed that he would be out of action for the foreseeable future.
“I’m not going to say the word retirement,” Cole said, visibly holding back tears. “But if this is goodbye, I want to thank every single one of you for making my dream come true since I was nine years old.”
The crowd responded with chants of “Thank you, Adam!” as Cole left the ring.
While the night continues with the crowning of a new TNT Champion, the AEW locker room and fans alike are rallying behind Adam Cole. His legacy as one of AEW’s cornerstones remains intact, and we at PWMania.com join the wrestling world in wishing him a full and fast recovery.
