Bryan Danielson broke his arm during his victory over Kazuchika Okada at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, this past Sunday night.

Danielson revealed the injury at the post-event press conference, predicting that he would be out for 6-8 weeks. Brie Bella said on Instagram Stories earlier this week that Danielson’s injury is worse than they thought, raising concerns that he will be out for a longer period of time.

Danielson’s injury, as PWMania.com previously reported on Thursday, has caused the promotion to make several creative changes, with plans for Danielson to wrestle more on television following Forbidden Door.

Danielson was also supposed to compete in the Blood and Guts match between The Elite and the Blackpool Combat Club on July 19.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “There was talk of a Danielson vs. Ishii singles match (which was to happen this week but Jon Moxley took his place).”
