Former WWE star and United States Champion Ilja Dragunov is strongly rumored to be joining AEW in the near future.
Fightful Select has indicated that even the top stars in AEW are uncertain about the exact timing of Dragunov’s debut. However, it has been confirmed that he is definitely joining the promotion, and preparations have already been made for his arrival. AEW is also currently working through the details of Dragunov’s visa.
Dragunov recently parted ways with WWE after his contract expired. His last appearance on WWE television was on SmackDown, just before WrestleMania 42, where he competed in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
