WWE’s Charlotte Flair has stirred controversy once again—this time by targeting one of pro wrestling’s most iconic cities.
During a recent appearance on the Games With Names podcast, the multi-time women’s champion didn’t hold back when asked about wrestling cities, stating bluntly:
“The worst wrestling city in the world… They know what’s wrong with them.”
While Flair didn’t elaborate further, her comments are widely believed to stem from her last appearance at Chicago’s Allstate Arena, where she was heavily booed during a segment with Tiffany Stratton. The backlash came after Flair, portraying a babyface, delivered the now-infamous line, “Is that why Kaiser’s in my DMs?” — a moment that did not land well with the crowd.
Flair previously acknowledged the reaction on social media, sarcastically posting on X:
“I should have NEVER called the Chicago fans smart. I sincerely apologize.”
The remark, made in jest, didn’t sit well with some fans and only added fuel to the fire.
After being blindsided by my personal trauma on live television, my character said something on-air that was not true, and I'd like to take this opportunity to clear the air.
I should have NEVER called the Chicago fans smart. I sincerely apologize.
