Cody Rhodes Has Been WWE’s Workhorse So Far This Year

Being the WWE Champion and the biggest star in the company was something that Cody Rhodes aspired to achieve, something his legendary father Dusty Rhodes never managed to do. Following his return in 2022 and feud with Seth Rollins before being sidelined with a torn pec, Rhodes resumed his journey in 2023.

Rhodes won the Men’s Royal Rumble Match that year, but lost to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, where the Undisputed WWE Title was on the line. History repeated itself in 2024, when he won the Men’s Royal Rumble Match and defeated Reigns at WrestleMania XL to win the title.

Rhodes has since transitioned from Raw to SmackDown as its top star, while Reigns has taken a break. Rhodes will defend his title for the first time on television against AJ Styles on Saturday at Backlash France.

According to CageMatch.net, Rhodes has worked the most matches of any man in WWE, with 40. Kairi Sane has the most experience on the female side, with 32 bouts. Rhodes has a 38-2 record, while Sane has a 7-24-1 mark.
