WWE Hall of Famer and former WCW President Eric Bischoff recently took part in a virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest, where he talked about a number of topics including who he would like to see “The Icon” Sting face in his retirement match.

Bischoff said, โ€œRic Flair [smiles] I donโ€™t know if thatโ€™s gonna happen, but thatโ€™s what Iโ€™d like to see. You didnโ€™t ask me if who I think it would be. You asked me who Iโ€™d like to see. Iโ€™d like to see [Sting face] Ric Flair.โ€

How Sting could battle Chris Jericho in his retirement match as there is history between The Icon and Jericho:

Bischoff said, โ€œI donโ€™t know. Chris Jericho? I donโ€™t think theyโ€™ve ever had a match, and thereโ€™s history there. Thatโ€™d be kind of cool. Iโ€™m sure there would be a great story with Darby Allin, right? So it depends on what youโ€™re going for and how you want to present it. Do you want to present it as part of an angle or a storyline, or do you want to present it just as a celebration, acknowledging everything that Stingโ€™s done, which is what I suspect that theyโ€™ll do, and itโ€™ll be more of a dream match kind of format or presentation, which, thereโ€™s nothing wrong with that, in my opinion in this case.โ€

The possibility of Sting staying with AEW following his retirement match:

Bischoff said, โ€œOh yeahโ€ฆ.Could he [stay with AEW]? Probably if he wanted to, but I donโ€™t think think he needs the money, and I donโ€™t think he needs the money, and I think heโ€™s physically got to the point, and just at his age, much like I am, I say I donโ€™t want to be away from home.โ€
