WWE Hall of Famer and former WCW President Eric Bischoff recently appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show, where he discussed various topics.
One highlight was AEW Dynamite officially surpassing WCW Monday Nitro as the longest-running wrestling show on a Turner Network, reaching 289 episodes and outlasting Nitro’s nearly six-year run.
“I think it would take AEW another 15 years to deliver that audience at the rate they are going…”
Bischoff said, “I just chuckled. It’s like a participation trophy. I guess it matters to somebody. If you took all of the viewing audience that we had over whatever run Nitro had, I think it would take AEW another 15 years to deliver that audience at the rate they are going.”
