WWE star Ethan Page appeared on TMZ’s Inside the Ropes to discuss various topics, including the dynamics of his alliance with Rusev.
Page said, “Well, do you think that man is on good terms with many people? I don’t think there’s lots of guys trying to walk up to Rusev and spark up a new friendship, right? So, I understand kind of what I’m walking into and who I’m dealing with, and I understand the situation and the relationship. Most importantly, I understand the relationship, what he brings to the table and maybe what I bring to the table — or what he doesn’t think that I bring to the table. I’m well aware of his point of view on the entire thing. I just see way too many benefits from us working together than us not working together.”
On where they can relate to each other:
“No one has the same kind of like outlook on Raw as me. His is as close to mine as possible. He hates the same people I hate; same goals, same stuff like that. We also grew up very similarly. He was born in Bulgaria; my family came from former Yugoslavia. We’re both Balkans and so I grew up with the same kind of like relatable upbringing. So I can get him there a little bit. We get along. I know when to leave him alone.”
