As rumored, WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg made his return to WWE on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, and he wasted no time setting his sights on a top target.
The former WCW and WWE Champion interrupted GUNTHER during his first promo since reclaiming the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Just as GUNTHER began addressing the WWE Universe, Goldberg’s iconic theme music hit to a thunderous ovation.
The legend marched to the ring and immediately confronted the new champion, referencing unfinished business involving GUNTHER and his family.
The segment ended with Goldberg officially issuing a challenge for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta, Georgia on July 12, telling GUNTHER in classic fashion, “You’re next!”
Following a commercial break, WWE confirmed the blockbuster Goldberg vs. GUNTHER match for the upcoming televised special.
