Kevin Nash Gives Update On Cody Hall’s Wrestling Absence

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash is heading back to the big screen. During a recent episode of his Kliq This podcast, Nash revealed that he will appear in an upcoming independent dramedy titled “Caroline,” which will reportedly also feature Andy Richter.

The seven-foot legend confirmed that filming will take place in Syracuse, New York, and noted his own time on set is relatively substantial for a supporting role.

“I know we’re shooting in Syracuse,” Nash said. “I think I only shoot for six days. I’ve got six working days, which nowadays on a project is significant.”

Nash also shared that he’s received the updated script and hinted that production on his scenes won’t begin until late June.

“I just got the newest script. I don’t think I’ll work before the 28th of June.”

In addition to his acting news, Nash addressed a personal matter that’s been on the minds of wrestling fans, the absence of Cody Hall from the wrestling world.

Nash revealed the serious reason for Cody’s hiatus: a broken neck sustained during a match in Japan, specifically from a risky stunt involving one of The Young Bucks.

“Cody got hurt in Japan. He broke his neck with the Young Bucks,” Nash stated.
“One of the Young [Bucks] jumped off the fu**ing balcony and broke his neck. So that’s why Cody’s not wrestling.”

Cody Hall, once a promising prospect and part of the Bullet Club during his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling, has been absent from in-ring competition for some time. Nash’s comments now confirm the severity of the injury and shed light on why his son has not returned to the ring.
