According to Deadline.com, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash has joined the cast of the upcoming dramedy Caroline, alongside Andy Richter, best known for his work on Conan. The film marks the directorial debut of Outer Range star Morningstar Angeline, working from a script written by Daniel Blum. Nash and Richter will appear alongside Teri Polo, James Udom, Davida Williams, and Sa’Raya Paris Johnson.
The story revolves around 11-year-old Caroline (played by Johnson), who is smart and navigating a life filled with excitement and danger as a shoplifter alongside her mother, Jocelyn (Williams). When Caroline’s estranged father, Corey (Udom), enters their lives, everything seems to stabilize. However, their peace is disrupted when the family faces a debt they cannot repay, prompting Caroline and her mother to embark on a last, ill-fated heist.
In the film, Nash portrays Marcus, Corey’s longtime friend and former accomplice who has turned his life around to become a construction worker and owner of a contracting company. Richter plays Norman Montana, a well-meaning but deeply insecure small-town public defender.
