Kevin Owens Comments On His WWE Future Ahead Of Contract Talks

Kevin Owens will be required to negotiate a new contract with WWE as soon as his current contract expires.

Owens has accomplished everything in WWE, from becoming a World Champion to main-eventing WrestleMania and convincing Steve Austin to come out of retirement for one more match. Last year, Owens and Sami Zayn were the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, defeating The Usos in the main event of WrestleMania 39.

Owens has recently been paired with Randy Orton on WWE television, following a feud that culminated in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 40 with United States Champion Logan Paul, who retained the title.

While speaking with The Metro UK, Owens discussed his future with the company, as his contract expires in nine months.

“I really don’t take anything for granted, I’ve nine months left on my contact, and I don’t know what can happen from here on out. That’s just life. If I’ve learned anything over the last few years, it’s that nothing is guaranteed. I’ve learned that through some very unfortunate events, we’ve lost so many good people that was never expected.”

“This has been my home for 10 years and it’s beyond the locker room. There’s some very, very, very special people that work behind the scenes that I’ve become very close with, and I really can’t imagine not seeing them as part of my life.”

The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga defeated Owens and Orton at the WWE Backlash France premium live event from the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Decines, France, with the help of the returning Tanga Loa.
