TNA Wrestling star Leon Slater spoke with Metro about various topics, including his meeting with top WWE star AJ Styles and the possibility of facing him in a match.
Slater said, โThe fact that he took time out of his day to watch my match and be gracious enough to give me some feedback afterwards was huge for me. So Iโm gonna say when, not if, when it happens. Iโm gonna be ready for it, man, and itโs gonna be fun. Itโs gonna be legendary.โ
On Trent Seven suggesting the match to Styles:
โI had Trent Seven by the side of me at the time. He was cheeky enough to mention it. I donโt really think he heard him. He was like, โYeah, that would be cool. That would be cool.โ But I donโt think heโs too familiar with me โ but he will be.โ
On wanting to be a wrestler growing up:
โEverybody would either be like, โOh yeah, Iโll go into bricklaying, Iโll be a plumber, Iโll go into electricityโ. Or like, โmaybe I want to be a footballerโ. But I was always like, โhe wants to be around to be a wrestlerโ. Everybody knows this, from like preschool to secondary school, โhe wants to be a wrestler.’โ
