TNA World Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy took to an episode of his “Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, where he talked about a number of topics including Mike Bailey’s future in wrestling with his contract with TNA coming to an end.
Hardy said, “I definitely think he could be a very important cog in an AEW machine. I think he could also be a very important cog in a WWE machine. I think he’s that talented, and he really understands what he is. He has such a great understanding for the business, he understands how to work with different people. I could tell immediately, like when I was working with him and Trent Seven and we were constructing things, putting things together, he totally understood the way I should be utilized and the way he should utilize himself and stuff in our matches. And he really impressed me a lot, he grew on me very quickly. And I think he’s an extremely talented guy, and I think he has a lot to offer the business.”
On whether Mike Bailey could make it to WWE or AEW:
“I think he could, yeah. I do think he could. Especially now with the new regime, where it’s a little bit of a different mindset, especially towards smaller guys and whatnot. I think he could.”
On where he would fit in NXT:
“And NXT, I think he would thrive in NXT, you know. And I do think he could even supersede that on the main roster in some spot.”
