Former Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone appears to be making it clear that she wants to return to WWE, at least from some of her recent social media posts.
Mone wrote the following in a post on December 24:
“Happy
Happy
Holidays
All I want for Christmas is Moné”
Fans interpreted that as her spelling out HHH and another indication that she wants WWE to sign her to a new contract. She posted a photo of herself in front of Boston’s TD Garden on December 26th, the same day WWE held a live event there. Her most recent post features her in front of a Triple H poster.
Mone is reportedly demanding a higher salary than Charlotte Flair on her new contract. WWE can obviously pay her what she’s asking for, but the question is whether they’d be willing to raise the payscale to get Mone back. With AEW no longer having tentative plans for Mone, a return to WWE appears to be the most likely outcome. If an agreement is reached in the coming weeks, it opens the door for a possible return at the Royal Rumble, just in time for WrestleMania season.
