After securing victory in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In: Texas, MJF has made it clear that his next move is to reclaim the AEW World Championshipโand heโs targeting none other than the new titleholder, โHangmanโ Adam Page.
Appearing on the Unlikely podcast, the former champion didnโt hold back in his trademark blunt style, calling Page โtalentless,โ โa phony,โ and โa loser,โ while claiming that AEWโs peak success came under his leadership.
MJF Manifested The Moment
Reflecting on his Casino Gauntlet win, MJF said the outcome wasnโt a surprise, but rather the result of relentless mental preparation and obsession.
โI saw it coming. I manifest these things in my headโI think about them over and over again, ad nauseam,โ MJF explained. โEverything I say and do in the ring has to be perfect. Thatโs why you never catch MJF slippingโitโs not a thing. That night was a great night. Iโve got the Casino Gauntlet contract now. I can execute it whenever I want.โ
โHeโs A Phony. Heโs A Loser.โ
MJF then shifted his focus to the reigning AEW World Champion, delivering a savage verbal assault on Hangman Page and questioning his value to the company.
โSea Biscuitโthe cowboy Hangman Adam Pageโis talentless. Heโs a bad person. Heโs a phony. The only reason people ever got behind him is because they felt bad for him. Heโs a loser, and Iโm excited to beat him and take back whatโs rightfully mine.โ
โWhen I was champion, AEW was thriving by every metric: highest gates, top-tier ratings, best segmentsโbecause the company was on my back. Donโt let social media fool you.โ
“A horse canโt be the face of your company…”
In classic MJF fashion, he delivered one of the boldest statements yet: โA horse canโt be the face of your company. I said it back at the very first pay-per-view in AEW history. What you need is a beautiful man with a beautiful Burberry scarfโand youโre looking at him.โ
When Will MJF Cash In?
With the Casino Gauntlet contract in hand, MJF can challenge for the AEW World Championship at any time. One likely destination? The upcoming AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view, set for August 24, where MJF could look to reclaim the spotlight and the title.
