NJPW holds an annual tournament called the G1 Climax and it is known to be the most grueling tournament in all of pro wrestling as competitors from multiple blocks wrestle in a Round-Robin style match, with the winners of the blocks facing off in the finals.

The overall winner will then receive a shot at the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at NJPW’s biggest show of the year known as WrestleKingdom.

AEW World Champion MJF took to his Twitter (X) account and noted that he has no interest in competing in the G1 because it sounds exhausting and he doesn’t understand why wrestlers want to keep competing in such a tournament.

He stated, “I don’t understand why wrestlers keep saying the want to do the G1. That shit is exhausting. I’m good on that.”
