Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw one of the fastest-rising stars in all of pro wrestling Nick Wayne make his highly-anticipated in-ring debut.
Wayne faced Swerve Strickland, his old indie rival, in singles action. Wayne gave it his all and nearly had Swerve beat on numerous occasions, but the leader of the Mogul Embassy was just too much for the up-and-coming star and would secure a huge pinfall victory after hitting Wayne with a modified version of his finisher.
From the very beginning of the match all the way to the end, the fans in attendance were heavily into the match, and that caught the attention of AEW President and CEO Tony Khan, who took to Twitter after the amazing match and congratulated Nick Wayne on a great debut, while also revealing that Nick Wayne is now officially All Elite.
