RUSH, a star in AEW and ROH and a former ROH World Champion and ROH Tag Team Champion, responded on Twitter (X) to a fan who questioned whether he was currently injured. The fan suggested that every time AEW attempts to push him, he ends up getting hurt.
RUSH wrote, “During my time with AEW I have only been injured ONCE, and one time during Continental Classic I tweaked my knee and medical team advised I recover.
I do my best to be part of every event, but any news you hear about injury prone is false. I even popped my elbow back in during a match to continue to perform.
I train in Mexico at the gym and in ring, I study English daily, and study tapes, I do everything possible to be at my best and READY for any opportunity. Do not believe false narratives, EL TORO BLANCO is healthy and ready always, Monday to Monday.
And REMEMBER…if you mess with the bull……”
RUSH has experienced several periods of absence from television, with at least two of these attributed to injuries. Last year, he was announced to be dealing with a knee injury, which caused him to miss his ROH World Championship match at Final Battle.
Additionally, he mentioned another injury that involved a torn hamstring during the AEW Continental Classic in January 2024. He returned to the ring in April of that year.
