Scorpio Sky Suffered An Injury As The Result Of A “Freak Accident”

Scorpio Sky was among the first wrestlers to join AEW in 2019. In his early days with the company, he was a member of SoCal Uncensored, alongside Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian. Sky later turned on Daniels and Kazarian before teaming up with Ethan Page to form The Men of the Year.

He previously worked for WWE (2012-2013), TNA (2012-2013), ROH (2010, 2017-2018), and NJPW (2018-2019) before joining AEW.

Sky was originally scheduled to wrestle Kip Sabian on Friday’s episode of Rampage, which was taped from the MVP Arena in Albany, NY after Dynamite.

However, AEW President Tony Khan announced that Sky had been pulled from the match due to an injury and would be unable to compete, so Komander took his place.

During a Q&A session, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select was asked how the injury occurred.

Sapp said, “A freak accident is what I’ve been told. Just an absolute freak accident. Nobody knows how long he’ll be out. He was on crutches at the show, though.”
