According to Fightful Select, several independent wrestlers have been approached about participating in an upcoming wrestling-themed season of Power Slap. The report indicates that the pay for many of the talent is quite good; however, there are concerns about the risk of concussions and the potential impact on their ability to fulfill other bookings around the filming of Power Slap.
UFC President Dana White met with several of the talent this week, and many wrestlers were encouraged to spread the word and build excitement. They were also informed that events related to this project will be part of International Fight Week, as well as a future event in Saudi Arabia.
For those unfamiliar, Power Slap is a project from Dana White where two participants take turns slapping each other as hard as they can. Matches can end in a knockout or be decided by judges after three rounds.
Sinn Bodhi (also known as Kizarny) has been recruiting talent for the show. Participants confirmed to take part include Cassanova Valentine, Mechawolf, Juicy Finau, Stunt Marshall, Mazzerti, Facade, HollyHood Haley J, Alice Crowley, Christi Jaynes, Marty the Moth, Bruno El Oso Blanco, The Suavectios, and Dani Mo.
