Former WWE Superstar Shayna Baszler has revealed that her relationship with WWE may not be completely over, despite recently joining TNA Wrestling and capturing championship gold alongside Zoey Serrano.

Baszler made her TNA debut at Bound For Glory earlier this month, where she teamed with Serrano to win the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships.

Although Baszler departed WWE as an in-ring performer in 2025, she subsequently continued working with the company behind the scenes, serving as a part-time coach and producer for NXT and EVOLVE.

During a recent interview with Denice Salcedo, Baszler discussed her passion for helping younger wrestlers develop and explained that coaching has become an important part of her career. “There’s been some thought because word got out somehow. I’ve been coaching, producing part-time at NXT and Evolve and all that. That is something that I found that I have fallen in love with, watching these young athletes grow and learn to love pro wrestling.”

Baszler explained that while TNA currently provides the right opportunity for her as an active competitor, she believes her working relationship with WWE could continue when her schedule allows. “TNA is the perfect place for me right now. Thankfully, there’s a good relationship so I can still coach when I’m available. I’m obviously not as available as I was, but that door I guess is still there.”

The former NXT Women’s Champion emphasized that her immediate priority remains competing inside the ring, noting that she can return to coaching later in life. “I can coach when I need a cane and have to sit in a chair. Beating people up right now is what I’m able to do right now, and let’s just ride it till the wheels fall off.”

When asked directly whether WWE would still allow her to coach for the company despite her involvement with TNA, Baszler offered a straightforward response. “Nobody’s told me no.”

Baszler also revealed that she spoke with relevant individuals before deciding to join forces with Serrano in TNA, wanting to ensure that the move would not create problems with her existing WWE connections. “To be fair, I did ask people that mattered, ‘Hey, I’m thinking about helping Zoey out. Are there any issues with that?’ Nobody told me not to do it and that I wouldn’t be welcomed back.”

While acknowledging that scheduling and availability could require further discussions, Baszler made it clear that she has no desire to damage her relationship with WWE. “Now again, there’s maybe some discussion to be had about my availability and all that, and we might have to revisit some of that at some point. I’m not someone that’s going to burn bridges either. I’m very thankful to WWE and everything they did for me and the platform they gave me.”

Baszler’s comments suggest that her move to TNA does not necessarily rule out future coaching or producing opportunities with WWE, although no formal arrangement for continued work has been confirmed.

For now, Baszler is focused on her new chapter in TNA alongside Serrano, with the pair already holding the Knockouts World Tag Team Championships following their victory at Bound For Glory.
