Tessa Blanchard has been announced for a CMLL singles match in Mexico City amid continued uncertainty surrounding her previously advertised MLW appearance on the same night.
CMLL announced on September 9 that Blanchard will face Starlight Kid at Arena Coliseo on Saturday, September 12.
The promotion’s match graphic presents the bout as part of the build toward CMLL’s 93rd Aniversario event on September 18, where Blanchard and Starlight Kid are also scheduled to compete alongside Persephone and Mina Shirakawa in a four-way match for the CMLL Women’s World Championship.
The new booking is notable because Blanchard had previously been advertised for MLW Fightland in Charleston, South Carolina, on September 12.
As previously reported by Wrestling Headlines, MLW subsequently removed Blanchard’s listing from its roster page as well as the article announcing her arrival in the promotion, raising questions about her status with the company.
CMLL’s announcement now confirms that Blanchard is advertised to wrestle in Mexico City on the same evening as Fightland. However, it does not provide any further information regarding her arrangement with MLW or explain the changes made to MLW’s website.
Blanchard’s match against Starlight Kid is scheduled as part of CMLL’s Arena Coliseo event beginning at 7:30 p.m. local time on September 12.
