In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer explored the idea of WWE potentially hosting an NXT residency at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas. Meltzer noted that running multiple events at the Apex would allow WWE to stage shows at a fraction of the cost compared to taking NXT on the road, making it a financially attractive option.
The idea is also fueling renewed speculation that WWE could launch a second Performance Center in Las Vegas, aligning more closely with UFC’s operations in the city.
This follows ongoing internal conversations about relocating the original WWE Performance Center from Orlando, Florida, to Las Vegas—unifying training and development hubs for both brands under one roof, rather than maintaining separate facilities on opposite ends of the country.
Las Vegas has quickly become a focal point for WWE strategy since Endeavor’s acquisition of the company in 2023. Both WrestleMania 41 and WrestleMania 42 were originally announced for Minneapolis and New Orleans respectively, but were ultimately shifted to Las Vegas. The decisions reportedly stemmed from scheduling conflicts with March Madness, concerns about weather, and the success of the WrestleMania 40 kickoff event, also held in Vegas.
As of now, there is no official confirmation on the residency or additional training facility, but sources indicate that Las Vegas could play an increasingly central role in WWE’s future operations.
