Wrestling Veteran Offers Insight On Liv Morgan’s Injury, Shuts Down Conspiracy Theories

Wrestling veteran Tommy Dreamer is setting the record straight on Liv Morgan’s shoulder injury from this week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.

Speaking on Busted Open After Dark, Dreamer offered a detailed and empathetic analysis of the freak accident that occurred during the early moments of Morgan’s match against Kairi Sane, where Morgan reportedly suffered a dislocated shoulder.

“The woman got hurt. It sucks,” Dreamer said firmly, addressing online speculation that the injury was a storyline angle. “From someone who has separated a dislocated shoulder, the moment it happens, it takes the breath out of you. If you could tell right away she rolled out… she knew something was wrong with her body.”

Dreamer, who has dealt with similar injuries during his career, explained the mechanics of how such an injury can happen, even from a routine move like a drop toehold.

“When she went down, her left leg was still up, almost like in a kneeling position, where her right leg was going flat… as that goes, if you’re falling forward, even at the easiest of imbalance, your shoulder is going to hyperextend,” he explained. “She wasn’t trying to stop her fall. She was just trying to go forward. And with that extension, it’s so easy to pop your shoulder and dislocate it.”

The ECW legend also shared how shoulder injuries can linger for the rest of a wrestler’s career.

“It sucks, and it’s going to be something that happens for the rest of your life,” Dreamer said. “You just got to continue the rehab, continue strengthening that shoulder, and don’t come back too soon.”

He wrapped up the segment by urging fans to show support for Morgan, highlighting the mental toll such injuries can take on performers, especially when they’re in the middle of a major push.

“If you are a fan of Liv Morgan, like I am a fan of Liv Morgan, prayer—I believe in prayer—as well as sending a positive note to a person, letting them know how much you appreciate their work,” Dreamer stated. “Mentally, it’s tough too, because you’re like, ‘Man, I’m on top of the world. What could go wrong?’ And then all of a sudden it goes wrong… we offer nothing but support.”

Dreamer also noted that if he were booking, Liv would still be champion, showing just how much admiration he has for her as a performer.
