AVA Opens The Show / Ricky Saints Wants The Title Handed To Him
AVA kicked off the night by addressing the biggest shake-up in NXT: Oba Femi vacated the NXT Championship last week. With the top prize suddenly up for grabs, AVA said the entire men’s division is wide open, and now is the moment for anyone—veteran, overlooked talent, or newcomer—to step forward and claim their destiny.
That brought out Ricky Saints, who thanked the crowd and immediately turned the spotlight onto himself. Saints bragged that he ran the Stand & Deliver main event “right out of NXT,” calling it an “absolute hat trick” over names like Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams and Oba Femi, and claimed Oba didn’t want to give him a rematch because “The Ruler is afraid.” Saints declared himself “then, now and forever,” before cutting to the point: he expected AVA to hand him the championship.
AVA shut that down fast. She said Saints deserved a shot, but so did everyone else who’d been lobbying her backstage. AVA then announced that on February 3, the new champion will be crowned in a 6-Man Ladder Match, with qualifying matches starting next week.
AVA had the NXT Championship raised above the ring, and that’s when the building erupted—the entire men’s locker room flooded the ring for a massive brawl. Keanu Carver was the standout wrecking machine, wiping people out left and right, powerbombing Brooks Jensen through the announce table, rocking Jackson Drake, and sending Drake crashing into bodies at ringside. Carver ended the chaos with a tense stare-down with Ricky Saints.
Backstage
After the break, AVA crossed paths with Robert Stone, who informed her Blake Monroe was in the building and ready to speak. AVA responded with sarcasm, clearly not thrilled about it.
Lola Vice vs. Kelani Jordan
Kelani Jordan jumped Lola Vice before the bell, blasting her off the apron and immediately flying in with a slingshot attack. Once things officially started, Vice fought back with scrappy takedowns and sharp strikes, but Jordan quickly turned nasty—grinding Vice down with boots, rope rakes, and complete control through the commercial break.
Vice survived the punishment and slowly dragged the match back into a war, trading forearms and kicks until both women crashed after a double pump-kick exchange. The pace exploded from there: Vice landed Germans and a flurry of kicks, while Jordan answered with well-timed counters, near-falls, and big aerial attempts.
The finish came when Jordan tried to steal it—using the ropes for leverage—only to get caught by the referee. Jordan argued, and Vice took advantage, drilling her with The 305 for the pin.
Winner: Lola Vice
After the match, Vice made it clear she’s coming for Izzi Dame and the NXT Women’s North American Championship.
Jasper Troy (c) vs. Tavion Heights – WWE Men’s Speed Championship
Tavion Heights burst out fast, dropkicking Jasper Troy and chaining pin attempts to try and catch the champion early. Troy absorbed the early storm, then crushed Heights with power offense—big splashes, stomps, and punishing control as he slowed the pace.
Heights rallied with strikes and a Belly-to-Belly, nearly turning the match with a flying splash, but Troy shut the door with The Black Hole Slam to retain.
Winner: Jasper Troy (still champion)
After the bell, Lexis King ambushed Heights from behind—dropping him with The Drive By and then planting him with The Coronation.
Backstage – Women’s Division Tension
Kendal Grey told Wren Sinclair she wanted to speak to AVA after it took all of Fatal Influence to beat her last week. Sol Ruca and Zaria stepped in, claiming they were next in line for Jacy Jayne. Zaria stirred the pot by asking Wren if she’d really let Kendal jump ahead of her again.
The argument grew louder when Jacy Jayne walked out of AVA’s office—only for AVA to reveal the meeting wasn’t about Jacy’s next challenger at all. AVA said she spoke with Santino Marella, and announced that next week:
ZaRuca vs. WrenQCC vs. Fatal Influence in a Triple Threat, with the winners earning a shot at the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship.
More Backstage Notes
Lexis King ran into Chase University, boasting about making his own opportunities in a wide-open NXT landscape.
Stacks and Arianna Grace appeared, praising King and referencing Stacks’ reign as TNA International Champion.
Myles Borne confronted Robert Stone, demanding to be placed in one of the upcoming NXT Title qualifying matches.
Elio LeFleur Vignette
A new arrival was introduced: Elio LeFleur, a masked French luchador who explained the meaning behind his mask. LeFleur shared that a Mexican luchador mentor named Nitro awarded him the mask as the top trainee when he was 16, and he now wrestles to honor that tradition. LeFleur promised he’s coming to NXT to “slash the sky.”
AVA & Ethan Page – Title Picture Clash
AVA spoke with Ethan Page, who wanted in on the qualifying matches for the vacant NXT Championship. AVA initially told him “no one and never,” stating he wasn’t part of the ladder match plan. Page argued he shouldn’t need to qualify.
AVA offered a deal: Page could get a qualifying match if he handed over the NXT North American Championship. Page refused, bragging about his 2025 run. AVA reminded him he’s the longest reigning champion in WWE right now, then dropped another bombshell: Page will defend the North American Championship next week against Elio LeFleur in LeFleur’s debut. Page protested the idea of a debut title shot—AVA pointed out he should know all about that.
Blake Monroe Speaks / Jaida Parker Returns
Blake Monroe took the mic, still fuming over last week’s chaos. She claimed she came out intending to reclaim what she called “her” NXT Women’s North American Championship, argued the situation became controversy by design, and insisted the system couldn’t function when she isn’t “convenient.”
Monroe declared herself “the standard” and said everyone obsesses over her because she’s the moment—until Jaida Parker interrupted with one simple message: “Ms. Parker is back.”
Monroe tried for a cheap shot, but Parker blocked it and exploded into a brawl. Parker took control, laid Monroe across the middle turnbuckle, slapped her hard, then blasted her with The Teardrop and finished with The Hypnotic, standing tall.
Stacks (c) (w/ Arianna Grace) vs. Shiloh Hill – TNA International Championship
Before the bell, Arianna Grace slapped Shiloh Hill, sparking a heated start. Hill came out swinging, tossing Stacks around early and taking the fight outside, including a big cannonball strike off the steps.
Stacks eventually grounded Hill and controlled long stretches, using stomps, strikes, and momentum swings while Grace stayed involved at ringside. Hill rallied in the later stages, throwing bombs, landing The Pounce, and nearly closing the distance with multiple near-falls.
The end came in true chaos: Grace got involved at the right time, the referee caught Stacks trying to use her for leverage, and in the scramble that followed, Stacks stole the win with an inside cradle to retain.
Winner: Stacks (still champion)
Izzi Dame Talks / Tatum Paxley Explodes
Izzi Dame addressed the crowd as the new NXT Women’s North American Champion, calling it calculated, planned, and inevitable. She mocked the idea that she’d crumble after losing the week prior—saying she studies defeats and uses them to set traps. She also warned challengers like Lola Vice and Thea Hail that wanting the title and getting near it are two different things.
Then Tatum Paxley snapped, breaking free from officials and tackling Dame in the ring. Paxley hammered her with ground-and-pound until Dame retreated. In the chaos, Paxley also struck Referee Chip Danning.
Ricky Saints Backstage
Kelly Kincaid tried to question Saints about not being “handed” the title—Saints blasted the interview and said he’d spoken with AVA. Saints revealed he does not need to qualify and is officially entered in the ladder match. He also announced he’ll be on commentary next week for two qualifiers:
Sean Legacy vs. Eli Knight
Josh Briggs vs. Shiloh Hill
Stacks and Arianna Grace interrupted. Stacks complained about Shiloh getting a qualifier after just facing him. Saints told Stacks to relax—he’s still champion, thanks to his girl’s help. Lexis King then appeared and told Stacks they needed to talk.
Tatum Paxley Ejected / Vanity Project Arrives
Blake Howard announced Tatum Paxley has been ejected from the Performance Center for attacking a WWE official. The Vanity Project appeared, confirming they’re officially signed to NXT. They also revealed Swipe Right will face Chase University next week. Keanu Carver was also shown leaving, intimidating Blake Howard on the way out.
Joe Hendry (w/ OTM) vs. Dion Lennox (w/ DarkState) – No Disqualification Match
The main event turned into a brawl almost immediately, as Hendry and Lennox mixed wrestling with weapons, interference, and ringside chaos. Lennox punished Hendry with power offense and rough tactics, while Hendry fired up with signature momentum swings—slamming Lennox into corners, landing a suplex, and surviving heavy shots.
The match escalated when weapons entered play: chairs, kendo sticks, and eventually a table. DarkState and OTM kept colliding at ringside, turning the entire scene into a war zone.
Hendry landed Standing Ovation multiple times but couldn’t put Lennox away. Lennox responded with brutal chair shots, spinebusters, and even speared Hendry through a table in the corner—still only getting two.
Then the chaos hit another level: Tony D’Angelo stormed in, cracked Lennox with a chair, and hit Forget About It. But D’Angelo wasn’t there to help—he turned on Hendry too, planting him with Forget About It, then dragging Hendry on top of Lennox to steal the finish.
Winner: Joe Hendry
After the match, AVA came out with security—Tony D’Angelo wrecked them, then stood toe-to-toe with AVA as the show ended.
