WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle reflected on a conversation he had with Vince McMahon when he returned to WWE in 2017 during an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast.

โ€œWhen I came back to WWE, he said, โ€˜Iโ€™m gonna have this company for a lot longer than you think, Mr. Angle. Iโ€™m 73 right now. My mom lived to be 101. Iโ€™m planning on living till Iโ€™m 120.โ€™ He said, โ€˜Iโ€™m never letting the company go. Iโ€™m always gonna be working here. Theyโ€™re gonna have to pull it from my coldโ€ฆ pry it from my cold, dead hands.โ€

Angle also commented on WWE and UFC contracts prior to the merger:

โ€œI know that Dana [Dana White] and Vince [Vince McMahon], their contracts have specifically, โ€˜You canโ€™t go to WWE.โ€™ If youโ€™re WWE, โ€˜You canโ€™t go to UFC.โ€™ They were going against each other when they shouldnโ€™t be. WWE should be worried about AEW, not UFC. Before the merger, I donโ€™t know whatโ€™s going on now. In their contracts, it was โ€˜you canโ€™t crossover to UFC, UFC canโ€™t crossover to WWE.’โ€
