Rey Mysterio Speaks Out After Missing WWE WrestleMania 41

WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has confirmed the injury that forced him to miss his scheduled match at WrestleMania 41. The setback occurred during last Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

Mysterio teamed with Rey Fenix and Dragon Lee in a six-man tag team bout against American Made (Chad Gable, Julius Creed, & Brutus Creed), securing a victory. However, following the match, Mysterio was visibly struggling and required assistance from WWE officials to return backstage.

Due to the injury, Mysterio was unable to compete at WrestleMania. Rey Fenix stepped in as his replacement in the scheduled bout against El Grande Americano, who ultimately picked up the win.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, it was reported that Mysterio was dealing with a torn groin, an injury later confirmed by Mysterio himself during a Fanatics Live Signing appearance.

At this time, WWE has not announced an official timeline for Mysterio’s return to in-ring action. PWMania.com extends best wishes to Rey Mysterio for a full and speedy recovery.
