In a candid post on social media, the 16-time World Champion wrote, “Surgery Coming Up. Keep Me In Your Prayers. It’s All Fragile.” The message was accompanied by two photos — one showing visible marks on his forehead, and another showing his abdomen from a previous surgery with surgical staples.
The forehead image appears to reference Flair’s past battles with skin cancer. The wrestling legend has undergone multiple treatments in recent years, including the removal of cancerous spots likely caused by prolonged exposure to arena lighting over the course of his decades-long career. In 2023, Flair publicly confirmed he was receiving treatment for skin cancer for the second time in three years.
The second image serves as a stark reminder of Flair’s near-death experience in 2017. That year, Flair was placed in a medically induced coma following complications from a bowel obstruction, which led to kidney failure. The emergency surgery he underwent left the abdominal scarring featured in the image.
