Tama Tonga has addressed reports that he was fined following a backstage video he posted ahead of the March 13, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, Tama was hit with a five-figure fine after sharing arena footage on TikTok that included wrestlers and crew.
During a livestream, Tama downplayed the situation and said he is taking it in stride.
“It’s all good. All good. It was worth it. I had to go to my happy place after that shenanigans. I had to go to the world’s happiest place to get myself smiling again. Nah, I’ve been smiling. You know, I think that’s the biggest thing is, man, we get hit with something, you just take the hit and keep on moving. Can’t let that bring you down, you know. You just gotta keep on moving.”
He also joked about his standing within the company.
“Am I in a doghouse? I’ve been in a doghouse my whole life. No getting out of doghouse. Yeah, I move in life like I’m in the doghouse always, which I don’t give a rats.”
Tama later acknowledged the situation more directly in a post on Twitter/X, accepting responsibility for his actions.
“Thanks for joining the live. As addressed, yes I was fined – deserved. I knew better- a careless mistake. -Lesson learned. Take the hit and move on. Back to work.”
