WWE SmackDown is live at 8/7c on the USA Network and Netflix from the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island.
Cody Rhodes Runs Into Nick Aldis & The Usos
‘WWE Then. Now. Forever. Together.’ starts things off as always, and then we shoot outside of Amica Mutual Pavilion, where Cody Rhodes arrives and is greeted by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.
Rhodes asks if he’s heard from Gunther yet. Aldis says not yet. Rhodes says he’s beaten Gunther before and he’s ready to do it again. We then see Cody walk on and see The Usos. Jey Uso tells him his King of the Ring match is tonight.
He plans to win and then come after Cody. He tells him it’s just business. Cody says he deserves it, but he hopes it’s his decision and not Roman Reigns’. He walks off.
Backstage With Jade Cargill, B-Fab & Michin
We then see the usual show-starting Superstar arrival shots as Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett welcome us to the show on commentary. Backstage, Cathy Kelley approaches Jade Cargill, who is with B-Fab and Michin. She talks about being prepared to be a two-time Queen of the Ring. She vows to see Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam.
2026 WWE Queen Of The Ring
Sol Ruca vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill
Inside the arena, Charlotte Flair’s theme hits and out comes “The Queen” to the ring for our first match of the evening. It is the final four-way Queen of the Ring qualifying match. We get the rest of the entrances and then the bell sounds to get things started.
Cargill punches Flair off the bat and Valkyria jumps onto Cargill. Flair kicks Cargill and all three women attack Cargill. Cargill suplexes Flair and Ruca and Valkyria jumps onto Cargill off the middle rope and Cargill catches Valkyria and throws her into Ruca.
Ruca and Valkyria roll out of the ring and in the ring, Flair chops Cargill. Flair slams down Cargill, B-Fab and Michin pull Flair out and start punching her out. Alexa Bliss’ music hits and she runs down and brawls with Michin and B-Fab.
Tiffany Stratton comes out as well and helps Bliss out. Stratton beats up Michin and Bliss fights B-Fab. Flair hits a crossbody on Cargill and covers her for a near fall. On that note, the show shifts gears and settles into a mid-match commercial break as the action continues.
When the show returns, we see things still in progress. Cargill slams down Ruca and covers her for a near fall. Cargill stomps on Ruca and slams her back down to the mat. Flair gets back in the ring and she clobbers and chops Cargill.
Cargill hits a clothesline and covers Flair. Valkyria breaks the pin and Cargill goes at her now. Cargill tries for a Boston Crab but Valkyria breaks the hold and is sent out of the ring. Ruca tries for a rollup on Cargill but Cargill breaks free.
Ruca hits a springboard crossbody but Cargill rolls through. Valkyria dropkicks them down and Flair gets back in the ring and Valkyria clotheslines her and kicks her to the mat after a botched reversal. Valkyria slams down Ruca and Cargill then kicks Valkyria and Valkyria counters a suplex into a DDT on Cargill.
Flair hits Natural Selection on Valkyria and Ruca breaks the pin. Ruca and Flair battle in the corner and Flair climbs the ropes and Ruca kicks her while she’s on the top rope. Flair pushes Ruca off and Valkyria sends Ruca back into Flair and then climbs the ropes to get to Flair.
Cargill comes up from behind and slams down both Flair and Valkyria. Cargill tries for a pin and Flair kicks out. Cargill slaps Flair and Flair strikes back. Flair connects with her walkover clothesline. Ruca hits a missile dropkick knocking Flair out of the ring. Ruca gets rolled up by Valkyria and Ruca kicks out.
Ruca attacks Valkyria in the corner and Valkyria knocks her down and kicks Cargill through the ropes. Ruca moonsaults out to the floor and takes out Valkyria, Cargill and Flair. Ruca sends Valkyria back in the ring and hits a springboard Frog Splash and covers Valkyria for a near fall.
On that note, we shift gears and head into a second mid-match commercial break as this high stakes Queen of the Ring tourney tilt continues. When the show returns, we see things work its’ way to a conclusion, with Charlotte Flair ultimately getting the “W” to advance via Figure-8 on Valkyria.

Backstage With Tiffany Stratton, Michin, B-Fab & Chelsea Green
Backstage, Cathy Kelley catches up with Tiffany Stratton and asks her why she helped Flair. Michin and B-Fab approach Stratton and Chelsea Green pops in to defend Stratton with a Kendo Stick. B-Fab and Michin leave and Stratton is shocked and asks Green what she’s doing.
Backstage With The Usos & Jacob Fatu
Backstage, we see The Usos warming up when “The Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu walks in. Jimmy asks why Fatu is here and Fatu says he’s here to speak to Solo Sikoa. Fatu asks why Jimmy is here and Jimmy says he’s here to make sure no one gets involved in Jey’s match later this evening.
Backstage With Nick Aldis & Gunther
Nick Aldis talks to Gunther backstage and asks Gunther what his stipulation is for this match against Cody Rhodes. Gunther says he can’t trust Aldis or the WWE so he gets to pick the referee for the match. Aldis asks who, and Gunther says he’ll let Aldis know by the end of the ring.
Backstage With Finn Balor, Damian Priest & R-Truth
Finn Balor is interviewed by Cathy Kelley. Balor says he’s excited to be on SmackDown and he has a lot of friends here and a lot of foes. R-Truth comes in and welcomes Balor to SmackDown and says they should bring back the Judgement Day to SmackDown.
Damian Priest comes in – he and Balor stare each other down as Truth is elated. Balor leaves and Truth says they love Balor. Priest says he doesn’t and all that matters is their tag titles and that he doesn’t trust Balor.
Brie Bella & Paige vs. Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid
Back to the ring we go for women’s tag-team action, with Paige and Brie Bella squaring off against Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence, with Jacy Jayne in their corner at ringside. The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running.
Henley and Bella start things off for their respective teams at the onset. Bella is kicked down and sent into the corner. Bella fires back with a clothesline and attacks Henley. Bella slams down Henley and covers her for a two count.
Paige is tagged in and Henley is double teamed. Paige hits Henley with a running knee and covers Henley for a near fall. Reid is tagged in and Paige takes her down and tags in Bella. Bella kicks Reid with Yes Kicks. Henley comes in and is beaten up by Bella.
Paige and Bella ‘Yes!’ kick Reid and Henley. Jayne trips Bella allowing Reid to stomp on a fallen Bella. Reid punches Bella and knees her to the mat. Henley is tagged in and Bella is double teamed by Reid and Henley. Henley hits a running forearm and covers Bella for a one count.
Henley is punched and kicked in the face. Henley strikes Bella and Reid distracts the ref and he misses a tag and he makes Bella continue. Reid is tagged in and Bella is double teamed and covered for a near fall. On that note, we head to a mid-match commercial break as the action continues.
When the show returns, we see Henley has Bella in a stretch submission hold. Bella breaks free and the two trade punches in the middle of the ring. Bella tries to tag out but Henley doesn’t let her. Reid is tagged in and Bella is double teamed.
Bella breaks free and tags Paige. Paige takes out Reid and suplexes her to the mat. Henley is sent out of the ring and Paige slams Reid back to the mat. Reid is covered and she kicks out at two. Paige gets Reid in the PTO and Henley breaks the hold.
Paige sends Henley out of the ring and hits RamPaige on Reid. Henley breaks the pin again. Bella hits Henley and gets smoked. Paige covers Reid but the ref is distracted. Henley hits a flapjack on Paige and Paige hits another PTO but on Henley.
Bella has the ref distracted and Jayne breaks the hold and gets ejected. Henley rolls up Paige but Bella pushes them over while the ref is tied up with Jayne. Paige gets the pin via rollup for the 1-2-3 and the victory. Paige and Brie Bella get another “W.”

Backstage With Sami Zayn & Johnny Gargano
Sami Zayn is backstage talking to Johnny Gargano who is laying on an equipment crate. Candice LeRae is on her phone and asks Gargano when he’ll get off his ass and Zayn thanks Gargano for the advice and says he’ll go talk to Nick Aldis.
Backstage With Danhausen, Angel, Berto, Kit Wilson & The Miz
Danhausen talks to Angel and Berto backstage. They give him money to do a curse and leave. Matt Cardona comes in and asks Danhausen to curse someone and pawns off his watch and ring
Kit Wilson comes in with The Miz who is all spaced out. Wilson says Danhausen electrocuted The Miz and he went crazy and asks Danhausen to reverse the curse. Wilson gets pissed and starts trashing Danhausen’s lab and gets electrocuted.
Sami Zayn Calls Out Cody Rhodes
Inside the arena, Sami Zayn comes out to the ring. Zayn discusses the strange reaction he got and says he doesn’t want to compare the European crowd to the US crowd and says Europe showed up for him. Zayn says people can either boo him and be miserable or they can ride or die with the last real good guy.
Zayn gets a mixed reaction and Zayn says as much as he wants to party with the die hards there is something he needs to do and he needs to clear the air and calls out Cody Rhodes. Zayn tells Rhodes he needs Rhodes to be his friend right now.
He tells Rhodes he’s helped Rhodes over and over again and he’s had to pay the price for it over and over again. Zayn says Rhodes made him feel like the worst person in the world and says Rhodes deserved to be attacked by Gunther.
Zayn tells Rhodes the second time it happened he helped Rhodes and ended up being laid out. Zayn wants the truth and asks Rhodes if this is actually an accident or Rhodes’ plan. Rhodes tells Zayn wrestling is a competition and he can’t turn that off.
Rhodes says they shouldn’t be standing face to face in a confrontation. Zayn talks about how he was the first guy in the ring to celebrate with him when he finished his story at WrestleMania. Zayn asks how many of the wrestlers who congratulated him that night are still his friends and if the problem is them or if the problem is Rhodes.
Rhodes tells Zayn that lately he sucks and he’s been whiny and he’s not the same Sami Zayn that he used to know and that’s why he’s being boo’d. Rhodes says Zayn is desperate and this is about the title and not their friendship and that’s why Zayn is being like this.
Rhodes tells Zayn he’s sorry he’s a champion and that Zayn will never be one. Zayn slaps Rhodes and then immediately apologizes to Rhodes for slapping him. Rhodes slaps Zayn back and asks if they’re good. Zayn leaves the ring.
He gets a chair and gets on the apron. Zayn and Rhodes stare each other down. Zayn drops the chair and gets off the apron and walks backstage leaving Rhodes standing in the ring.
Backstage With Jacob Fatu & Solo Sikoa
Jacob Fatu approaches Solo Sikoa backstage and tells Sikoa he has a message from Roman Reigns. Fatu tells Sikoa that Reigns wants him to come home and Sikoa says that it isn’t home, it’s a doghouse and Fatu is Reigns’ lapdog. Sikoa asks Fatu what happened to him.
He used to be a killer and now he’s delivering messages for Reigns. Sikoa says Reigns embarrassed him, humiliated him and made him bend a knee in front of the world. Sikoa tells Fatu to tell Reigns to go to hell. Fatu tells Sikoa that he understands.
He says he gets what Sikoa is talking about, but he’s made his decision and he’ll stand on it and if Reigns sends Fatu to get Sikoa, he’ll come for Sikoa. Sikoa tells Fatu if Reigns wants him to come back home, Reigns should come get him and Sikoa leaves.
AAA Cruiserweight Championship
Rey Fenix (c) vs Axiom
The bell rings and the two lock up. Fenix gets Axiom on the mat and dropkicks him out of the ring. Fenix flies through the ropes and takes Axiom out. Axiom is sent back in the ring and Fenix comes off the top rope and is caught by Axiom.
The two trade holds and do a bunch of reversals. Axiom hits a suplex and drops Fenix on his head and covers him for a two count. Fenix chops Axiom and Axiom gets Fenix on the mat in an armbar. Fenix gets to the ropes and breaks the hold.
Axiom is kicked out of the ring and back in the ring, Fenix is kicked out of the ring by Axiom. Axiom hits a moonsault to the outside and we cut to a commercial. Back from a commercial break, Axiom has Fenix on the mat in a headlock and Fenix powers out of the move but Axiom gets him back down to the mat not relinquishing the hold.
Fenix elbows out and jumps off the ropes and Axiom catches him and gets him back in a submission. Fenix breaks free and Axiom kicks Fenix back to the mat. Fenix chops Axiom and starts punching him. Fenix slides on the ropes and kicks Axiom. Fenix climbs the ropes and Axiom kicks him while he’s up top.
Fenix hits Adios Amigos and then hits a cross body and covers Axiom for a near fall. Fenix kicks Axiom and tries to use the ropes and Axiom slams him down and climbs the ropes and hits a missile dropkick and Fenix is covered and he kicks out.
Axiom sets up for the Golden Ratio but Fenix counters and hits a modified brain buster and covers Axiom for a near fall. Fenix and Axiom collide and Axiom then gets Fenix in an armbar. Axiom misses a kick and hits the turnbuckle and Fenix kicks Axiom in the corner and sits Axiom on the top rope.
Axiom kicks Fenix but Fenix gets on the ropes with Axiom. Axiom hits a Spanish Fly from the top rope and covers Fenix for a near fall. Fenix kicks Axiom and sits him on the top rope. Fenix hits the Mexican Muscle Buster and gets the win.

Backstage With Nick Aldis & Gunther Again
Gunther approaches Nick Aldis backstage and tells him he’s made a decision. Gunther says he took a lot into consideration and he needs a guy with a heart in the right place. Like the last real good guy. He tells Aldis the referee for his match will be Sami Zayn.
Trick Williams, Lil Yachty, Ricky Saints & Carmelo Hayes Talk U.S. Title
A car pulls up in the parking lot and Trick Williams comes out of the car with Lil Yachty and we cut to a commercial break. We come back from a break and Trick Williams comes out to the ring with Lil Yachty. Yachty introduces Williams.
Williams stops Yachty and says today isn’t a party and he has something to get off his chest. Williams talks about his loss in the Fatal 4-Way last week and says something woke up in him and there’s a fire in him now. Williams says he wants to bring SmackDown to new heights.
Williams says he’s the leader of the new school of talent and he’s pissed off he lost his match. Williams tells everyone he’s still Hollywood Trick, Mr. Lemon Pepper Steppers and he’s still the champion. Ricky Saints comes out and interrupts Williams.
As Saints makes his way out, Carmelo Hayes comes out and pushes Saints out of the way and comes to the ring. Hayes tells Williams that there’s the problem. Saints rushes to the ring and asks for a mic. Hayes says all Williams is catchphrases and he needs Williams to make up his mind.
Is Williams wanting to fight Hayes or Saints. Saints says he beat Hayes and he should be next line. Hayes says Saints needs to be out of the picture. Saints and Hayes go back and forth and Williams tells them to shut up. Williams says he doesn’t care who it is because he’ll beat either of them.
Williams tells them to decide who will be the challenger and then to find him. As Williams leaves, Saints knocks Hayes into Williams knocking him out of the ring. Hayes hits Dirty Diana on Saints and Williams comes back in the ring and knocks Hayes out of the ring and hits Saints with the Book End.
Backstage With Royce Keys & Solo Sikoa
Cathy Kelley talks to Royce Keys backstage. Kelley asks Keys about his upcoming match. Solo Sikoa comes up to Keys and tells him The Bloodline is here and he knows the kind of play they’ll run.
Sikoa says they’re here to help Jey Uso win and Jacob Fatu is on board. Sikoa tells Keys that he thinks Fatu is family but Fatu doesn’t see him as family and Sikoa doesn’t want Keys to be a casualty in Reigns’ war.
Tiffany Stratton & Chelsea Green vs. B-Fab & Michin
Back to the ring we go for women’s tag-team action, as Tiffany Stratton and Chelsea Green join forces to take on B-Fab and Michin. Following their ring entrances, the bell sounds and off we go. Stratton whips her hair into Green before the match and then she and Michin start the bout.
Stratton flips around and gets Michin on the mat. Stratton botches a move in the corner and then does it again. Green tags herself in and Stratton Alabama Slams Michin to the mat. Green takes Michin down and covers her for a near fall. Michin elbows Green and tags B-Fab in.
Green is double teamed and covered for a two count. B-Fab locks Green in a full nelson and B-Fab then tags in Michin. Green is double teamed again and Michin cheap-shots Stratton off the apron. Michin kicks Green and covers her for a near fall and we cut to a break.
When the show returns, we see the action still in progress. B-Fab punches Green in the corner and then chokes out Green using the ropes. B-Fab goes for a pin and Green kicks out at two. Michin is tagged in and she covers Green who kicks out.
She then strikes Green back down to the mat. Michin slams Green in the corner and then hurricanranas Green to the mat from the top rope. Michin covers Green and Green kicks out at two. Green slams Michin down and tries to tag out.
Green sends Michin out of the ring and dodges out of the way as B-Fab tries to get her and crawls to Stratton but Jade Cargill comes out of nowhere and takes out Stratton. Green kicks B-Fab and hits The Unprettier on Michin. Michin comes in and hits Styles Clash and gets the win.
Winners: B-Fab & Michin
Jade Cargill & Co. Cause Carnage
Stratton gets in the ring and attacks Cargill. Michin and B-Fab attack Stratton. Cargill hits Jaded on Stratton. Cargill then gets the United States Champion and looks at it and then lays it on Stratton. B-Fab, Michin and Cargill leave the ring with Stratton laid out and Green laid out outside the ring.
Backstage With Kiana James & Giulia
Kiana James is backstage with Cathy Kelley. James tells Kelley she was betrayed by Giulia and says Giulia is useless. Giulia comes in and tells James that she needed her for her English and James says she never needed Giulia. Giulia slaps James.
Backstage With Finn Balor & Tama Tonga
Now we shoot to a different area backstage, where we see Finn Balor walking. Tama Tonga approaches him and welcomes him to SmackDown and wishes him luck in his match tonight. Quick and easy. The show moves on from there.
Backstage With Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn & Nick Aldis
Cody Rhodes talks to Nick Aldis backstage and talks about Gunther’s stipulation. Rhodes says Sami Zayn is a mess right now and he’s all emotion. Zayn comes by and tells Rhodes he is a mess and his emotions are all over the place and wishes him luck against Gunther next Friday.
Backstage With LA Knight
LA Knight is backstage with Cathy Kelley. Kelley talks to him about his match and his thoughts on The Bloodline being in the building. Knight says he’s in the building and that’s what matters and he predicted they’d all be there.
Knight talks about Jacob Fatu trying to recruit Solo Sikoa and that The Bloodline needs a team for Jey Uso to win. Knight says he’ll win and stomp out Roman Reigns. That’s where the brief backstage segment wraps up, and the show moves on.
