WWE Hall of Famer and AEW commentator Jim Ross discussed his greatest Iron Man Match ever called on an episode of his Grilling JR podcast.
Ross said, “Damn right, no doubt about that. The best Iron Man match I can recall calling off the top of my head was Shawn Michaels and John Cena. I think it was in the UK, on a Monday Night Raw. It was an instant classic. Instant classic.”
On what made the match work:
“It was really good. They told a great story, and they maintained their intensity and kept the crowd with them while doing it all. It was textbook. So if you’re looking for a textbook, check that one out.”
