AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS – SEPTEMBER 3, 2025
Excalibur welcomes us to this week’s show, once again inside 2300 Arena in Philly.
Gabe Kidd Brawls With Darby Allin
As he runs down the action scheduled for today’s show, we hear Gabe Kidd talking off-camera. The camera shifts to show him walking down the aisle with a microphone in-hand asking where Darby Allin is. Allin appears and Kidd proceeds to beat him down.
Wheeler Yuta ends up in the mix as well, but Allin begins taking over. He hits a wild Coffin Drop to the floor, and then pulls out a special skateboard covered in tacks. He whacks them with it as fans chant his name. He waits for Kidd to get up after blasting Yuta.
Instead, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Marina Shafir of The Death Riders make their way out and surround the ring. Just as they do, however, the lights in the 2300 Arena go out. The Hook symbol flashes in the rafters and the new theme for “The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil” begins playing.
Hook emerges, but stops and turns around. He points to the entrance area, where we see Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs come out from The Opps, along with Willow Nightingale. They all brawl. Cameras catch up with Kidd beating down Allin backstage. “You think this is a game?!”
Gabe Kidd walks off and pulls out a hammer. He slams it down to show what he has. Before he can use it, however, Allin pops up and scrambles away. Kidd chases after him, but stops when he sees a truck. Allin emerges from the truck with a rag with something on it.
He proceeds to smother Kidd’s mouth until he fades. He puts him in a body bag that is chain-attached to the truck. He gets in the truck after zipping Kidd up in the bag and begins driving off with the bag dragging behind him. That’s how the eventful opener wraps up.
TBS Championship
Mercedes Monรฉ (c) vs. Alex Windsor
We shoot inside the arena again after a quick video package, and out comes “Nine Belts Monรฉ” herself, “The CEO” Mercedes Monรฉ, for her scheduled TBS Championship defense. She settles in the ring and her music dies down. The theme for her challenger hits and out comes Alex Wiindsor.
The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. The two circle the mat before locking up, with Monรฉ sending Windsor to the corner. The crowd chants โCEOโ as the champ nearly gets caught in a Sharpshooter by Windsor.
Monรฉ back up as she hits the ropes, but the challenger drops her with a back body drop to the mat. A chop sends the CEO to the corner, but she fights back with a hammer throw before Alex fights back with a couple hip tosses before sending the champ down for a near-fall.
Mercedes is back up and catches the challenger with a Statement Maker, but Windsor makes it to the ropes for a break. Windsor heads to the outside as Monรฉ follows, but the fight leads to Windsor sending the champ to the floor with a cannonball senton off the apron.
She brings Monรฉ back to the ring for a clothesline and a two count. The fight heads to the ropes as Windsor catches the champ with a Sharpshooter, but itโs through the ropes so the hold is illegal despite its damage done to Monรฉ, who manages to break free before landing a powerbomb that sends the challenger to the floor.
On that note, the show shifts gears and heads into a quick mid-match commercial break as this title tilt continues. When the show returns, we see both women are in the ring with Windsor hitting the ropes to hit a shoulder tackle on the champion. Leg sweep by the challenger, but itโs only good for a two.
Windsor once again looking for a Sharpshooter, but settles for a Blue Thunder Bomb for another near-fall. A Sharpshooter finally cinched in fully as the CEO struggles to break free, managing to counter to a Statement Maker. Windsor looks for a cradle before rising to her feet, only for the champ to catch her with a crucifix pin for two.
Backstabber by Monรฉ, but Windsor fights back with a spine-buster. We get a ten-minute notice from the ring announcer. From the mat, Windsor is able to cinch in the Sharpshooter once more, but Monรฉ breaks free enough to roll out of the ring.
As she does, the hold remains locked in. The ref is making the count as Windsor looks to inflict as much damage as possible. She slides back in the ring, with the champ sliding in right around nine. Windsor charges at Monรฉ, who turns her around.
She looks for her trademark Statement Maker, but Windsor powers up to her feet, before Monรฉ counters with a DDT. Windsor fights back with another attack, leaving both women on the mat. They get back to their feet trading strikes, with Windsor getting the upper hand sending the champ to the mat.
Monรฉ fights back for a Money Maker. Windsor manages to counter out, taking Mercedes down for a near-fall. The fight heads to the corner, where Monรฉ manages to turn things around setting up for a Statement Maker in the middle of the ring.
Windsor crawls toward the ropes, but Mercedes rolls back to reset the position. The challenger nearly reaches the ropes again, but instead rolls Monรฉ up for two. Mercedes resets her own positioning, clutching Windsor for the three count to retain the title.
Winner and STILL TBS Champion: Mercedes Monรฉ
Riho Returns!
After the match, Mercedes refuses a handshake to flip off Windsor, before going for another Statement Maker. The attack is thwarted by the return of Riho, with the first-ever AEW Womenโs World Champion landing a missile dropkick on Monรฉ to force the TBS Champion to regroup on the entrance way.
Hook Confronts Samoa Joe & The Opps
Backstage we hear from The Opps, before HOOK interrupts to tell them not to fight his battles for him. Samoa Joe tries to clear the air about Hobbs replacing him in the trios title match, as well as saying they all have their battles to fight with the Death Riders. HOOK looks less than pleased about all this, storming off as we cut away.
Ricochet & The Gates Of Agony Issue A Challenge
The show heads to a commercial break after the Hook and The Opps segment. When the show returns, we see Ricochet and The Gates of Agony backstage for an interview. They challenge The Hurt Syndicate to a showdown at AEW All Out: Toronto.
Mark Briscoe vs. Lance Archer
Inside the arena, Mark Briscoe’s theme hits. “Reach for the sky, boy!” Out comes the master of Redneck Kung Fu. He settles in the ring, gets on the microphone and talks about being excited to be in Philly tonight. He brings up his TNT Championship aspirations.
He says his goal of beating Kyle Fletcher for that title has unfortunately put him in the cross-hairs of Don Callis. He brings up Callis saying Briscoe has to first beat another “henchmen” of Callis’ to earn the TNT title opportunity against Fletcher.
It is revealed that it will be Konosuke Takeshita and it will take place on AEW Collision later this week. Briscoe says he wants to fight now, too. Callis brings Lance Archer to the ring to fulfill that wish. After a two-break bout, Briscoe gets the win with a Froggy Bow.
Winner: Mark Briscoe
“Timeless” Toni Storm Wants Competition
In a pre-taped video segment, “Timeless” Toni Storm addresses the fans of Philly, and her title reign surpassing a Forever Champion and a title collector. She tells the women of AEW to bring their best, their worst, and everything in between. God doesnโt judge, thatโs Toni Stormโs job. We head to a break.
Backstage With Harley Cameron, Kris Statlander & Wheeler Yuta
Backstage, we hear from Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron. They talk about being undefeated and heated, before Cameron starts to call out Brodidoโwith Kris saying they should focus on the likes of Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford first.
This gets interrupted by the arrival of Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta, as Kris tells them that she got the message from their โfriend.โ Yuta senses the tension and decides to head out, as heโs wrestling next. With that said, off Yuta goes with Shafir.
AEW World Tag-Team Championship
Brodido (c) vs. Death Riders
Back inside the arena, The Death Riders theme hits and out through the crowd comes Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli and Marina Shafir. They settle inside the squared circle for their scheduled championship opportunity. Their music dies down.
Brodido duo Bandido and Brody King make their way out next for their AEW World Tag-Team Championship defense. The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. Yuta and Bandido kick things off for their respective teams at the onset.
Bandido takes Wheeler to the mat, only for Yuta to turn things around. He sends the champ to the corner but Bandido stops in his tracks, taunting Yuta before taking him down with a dropkick. Tags made to Claudio and Brody, who lay into each other with strikes.
Claudio goes for a tornado DDT, only for King to counter it. Giant Swing gets stopped as well, and Bandido comes in for a double team off the tag. He looks for a suplex on Castagnoli, who tries to fight back before the champ takes him to the mat.
Bandido heads to the turnbuckle but is caught with a backbreaker, forcing the champ to the outside where Yuta gets some shots in. On that note, the show shifts gears and settles into a mid-match commercial break as this title tilt continues. When the show returns, Yuta is controlling Bandido.
The tag made to Claudio, but the champ counters for a Code Red of sorts for the near-fall, and then tags in Brody King. King sends Claudio into Yuta in the corner for a cannonball that sandwiches both men against the turnbuckle. Cover on Castaganoli gets a two count for King.
King gets an assist from Bandido before making a tag. Bandido does a head-scissors on King, sending him into Claudio for a cover by Bandido for two. Bandido goes up top for a frog splash but Claudio rolls out of the way, making a tag to Wheeler.
Blind tag by Brody sets up for a double team before King sets up for a super-plex, but Bandido made a blind tag as well as he looks to finish things, only for Marina to trip him up. This gives an opening for Claudio and Yuta to take control.
They distract the ref as Mox blindsides King on the outside. Power and Glory special from the Death Riders leads to a cover from Yuta, but Bandido manages to kick out. Fans go bonkers with loud “AEW! AEW!” chants. Claudio gets Bandido in the Giant Swing into a Yuta dropkick.
They go for the immediate follow-up pin attempt for another close two-count. Moxley gets involved soon after at ringside once again, which this time leads to Darby Allin appearing out of nowhere. Allin and Moxley brawl as King lands some big knockout punches, feeding into a Bandido finisher for the win to retain.
Winners and STILL AEW World Tag-Team Champions: Brodido
Renee Paquette Interviews Kazuchika Okada
After the match, we shoot backstage where Renee Paquette is standing by with the AEW Unified Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada. She asks about his beef with Konosuke Takeshita. Okada says he calls himself “The Alpha” when Okada is leader of the Don Callis Family…”B*tch!” We head to another break.
The Hurt Syndicate Accepts Ricochet & Gates Of Agony’s Challenge
When the show returns, Renee Paquette is backstage with The Hurt Syndicate. MVP does the talking as Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin stand on each side looking tough. MVP is asked about the challenge from earlier in the show.
The challenge was for a trios match, and it was issued to them by Ricochet and The Gates of Agony for AEW All Out: Toronto. MVP says Ricochet went from being a good wrestler to a hater, and he says he’ll happily lace his boots again to punch him in his b*tch made mouth.
FTR Attacks Adam Copeland
The theme for Adam Copeland hits and out comes “The Rated-R Superstar.” As he settles in the ring, he is ambushed from behind and attacked by FTR duo Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. They beat him down until the entire ROH locker room and others come out.
Harwood has blood from what appears to be a legitimate gash on his head. Copeland looks enraged as he is held back in the aisle. Harwood and Wheeler end up hitting a stuffed-piledriver to one of the ROH guys in the ring. That’s how this wild segment wraps up. We head to another break.
All Star 8-Man Tag
Hangman Page, Kenny Omega & JetSpeed vs. Kyle Fletcher, Josh Alexander & The Young Bucks
It’s main event time!
After a quick FTR backstage promo to set up a match on AEW Collision this week, we return inside the arena, where The Young Bucks make their way to the ring for the advertised All Star 8-Man Tag. Nicholas Jackson and Matthew Jackson settle in the ring.
Their partners from The Don Callis Family, “The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander and TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher, make their way out accompanied by Don Callis himself. They join The Bucks in the ring as the first four-man team in this All Star 8-Man Tag main event.
Callis joins Tony Schiavone, Excalibur and Taz on commentary for this one. Out comes the first two of their four opponents, the JetSpeed duo of Kevin “The Jet” Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey. They make their way out and settle in the ring.
Now their first of two partners makes his way out, as the familiar sounds of Kenny Omega’s entrance music hits. The crowd in Philly roars as “The Dapper Yapper” Justin Roberts does his ring introduction routine for “The Cleaner,” with the crowd doing it along with him.
Callis pops up from the commentary desk in fear and walks off as Omega nears that area. He returns when Omega settles in the ring. The theme for the fourth and final member of the second time hits, and out comes the reigning AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page.
The bell sounds to get things started. Fans chant “F**k Don Callis!” before anything happens. Alexander and Hangman kick things off for their respective teams. The AEW World Champion works over the arm of “The Walking Weapon” as fans chant “Cowboy sh*t! Cowboy sh*t!”
Josh starts to fight back, sending the champ to the ropes for a sneak attack by Fletcher. Alexander tries to take advantage but takes a boot form Page, sending him to the mat. Fletcher rushes in to intervene, and this leads to chaos as all eight men go at it.
This ends with JetSpeed and Omega and Page catching the Family Bucks with a four-way dive on the outside. Alexander finds his way back in the ring, only to take a beating from Page and Omega. On that note, the show shifts gears and heads into a mid-match commercial break as the action continues.
When the show returns, we see the Bucks take control over Speedball, before a missile dropkick gets Bailey back in the swing of things. Tag made to Kevin Knight, who catches Nick for a near-fall. Tag to Matt, who takes Kevin down with a locomotion suplex before Knight counters with a tornado DDT off the turnbuckle.
Page tags in now, sending Matt down with a fall away slam. Young Bucks take the champ down before tagging in Fletcher, but Page gets an assist from Omega to deal with the Protostar. Fletcher fights back, blocking a Buckshot Lariat before dropping Hangman to the outside.
He brings Page back in, only to get dropped with a pop-up powerbomb by the World Champion. Bailey and Alexander tag in, with Speedball landing some hard offense before Josh fights back with a German suplex. Bailey grabs the ropes to stop the momentum, only to get dropped on the apron by Josh who sends him to the floor.
Alexander steps onto the barricade but gets caught with a clothesline from the ring by Knightโฆonly for the Bucks to fend him off before hitting a TK Driver on him and then on Speedball on the outside! They and Fletcher pose to taunt the fans.
On that note, the show shifts gears and settles into yet another mid-match commercial break as our All Star 8-Man Tag main event continues inside the legendary 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. This time when the show returns, we see Bailey nearly making a much-needed tag, only to be stopped.
Bailey counters to take Alexander down with a poison-rana. Bailey makes the tag to Omega as Fletcher also tags in, and the two trade strikes until Omega heads to the ropes, where Fletcher catches him with a boot to the face. Omega responds with a V-Trigger before looking for the One-Winged Angel.
It gets broken up before Nick Jackson tags in. Page reaches for a tag and we get a curious โreunionโ of The Elite before all four of them go at it. Fans chanted “Holy sh*t! Holy sh*t!” just at them staring each other down. And then they all brawl and the crowd explodes.
After more back-and-forth action, Alexander and Fletcher hit a one-two combo ending with a brainbuster on Knight for the pin and the win for their team. After the match, the Bucks and Don Callis Family duo continue to beat down Omega, Hangman and JetSpeed.
Lance Archer and Rocky Romero and others join in on behalf of the heel side. Fletcher hits a brainbuster an unfolded steel chair in the ring. A table is pulled out and entered into the mix. Omega tries fighting back but is hit in the ribs and dropped. Omega is put through the table with a brainbuster off the apron by Fletcher. Medics tend to Omega as the show goes off the air. Thanks for joining us!
Winners: Kyle Fletcher, Josh Alexander & The Young Bucks
