Indie star Alex Kane appeared on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast, where he discussed various topics, including the fact that his MLW contract is expiring on June 1st.
Kane said, My (MLW) contract is up on June 1st. So, yeah, not there long-term but Iโve been there for a long timeโฆ Iโm gonna play the open market a little bit. I really had no choice. The doorโs always open, but, โWe want you to try, you know, make some real money.โ So, thatโs what Iโma try to doโฆ Iโm looking any and everywhere. Iโm getting what they call like a sizzle reel so itโs like promos and โ itโs like a highlight reel with promos included or maybe even soundbites included. So Iโm getting one of those made. Once thatโs complete, I will have something that I can actually send to the other companies and hopefully, somebodyโs like, oh, this guy has a lot of promise. Letโs spend some money.โ
On where he sees himself in the next few years:
โMan, I hope to be in either NXT or AEW. Because I would like to stay in the States. But, if not there, then doing a few tours of Japan. Any one of those options would be cool for me. I think I would thrive in NXT.โ
Going to New Japan:
โThat would be cool (going to NJPW). I donโt have a contact for them just yet. But I was talking (Minoru) Suzuki and (Satoshi) Kojima and they told me to reach out to All Japan so, Iโm gonna do that. I have a contact for NOAH so Iโm gonna do that as well. But yeah, if I can find a contact for New Japan, Iโll definitely do that.โ
