Backstage News On WWE Changing Jordynne Grace’s NXT Theme Music

WWE NXT star “The Juggernaut” Jordynne Grace debuted a brand-new entrance theme during last Tuesday’s episode of NXT, but the change didn’t go over well with fans in attendance at the WWE Performance Center. During her match against Lola Vice, the crowd could be heard chanting “Fire Def Rebel”, referencing WWE’s in-house music production team.

According to Fightful Select, Grace retains the rights to her previous theme used in TNA Wrestling and early in her NXT run, which played a major role in the switch. WWE reportedly opted to change the theme to maintain their standard of owning all music used on their programming.

The report also pointed out that the sirens at the beginning of Grace’s old theme created creative concerns, as Bron Breakker’s entrance music also includes sirens. WWE prioritized Breakker’s theme due to his lineage as the son of Rick Steiner and nephew of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner.

While notable producers such as Metro Boomin have expressed interest in creating music for WWE Superstars, the company continues to favor full ownership of theme tracks—often a sticking point in negotiations.
