PWMania.com previously reported that WWE is preparing for IShowSpeed to appear at WrestleMania 42, which will take place this month in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Discussions about his participation in this major event have already occurred, and his significant online presence, with over 149 million followers across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Twitch, likely contributes to the company’s interest in featuring him.
In recent weeks, Speed has been involved in WWE programming. He was even cursed by Danhausen during the March 23 episode of RAW. On the most recent episode of RAW, Speed was seen in the front row when Logan Paul and Austin Theory challenged The Usos for the World Tag Team Championship in a Street Fight.
Speed became inadvertently involved in the match when LA Knight, a guest commentator, intervened at ringside to stop Paul from using brass knuckles given to him by his mother. This led to a scuffle, causing Speed to tumble over the barricade and accidentally knock out Knight with the brass knuckles. Paul then used the knuckles on Jimmy Uso, enabling Theory to pin Jimmy and secure the World Tag Team Title for The Vision.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, this angle was set up to pave the way for a 6-Man Tag Team Match at WrestleMania 42, with IShowSpeed teaming up with Logan Paul and Austin Theory to face Knight and The Usos. Meltzer also noted that if Speed is not able to prepare in time for the match, it would likely become a standard tag team contest between the newly crowned World Tag Team Champions and The Usos, with Speed and Knight supporting their respective teams from the sidelines.
IShowSpeed’s only previous appearance in a WWE ring was during the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble Match, where he replaced an injured Akira Tozawa. His unforgettable moment in that match came when he was speared by Bron Breakker, which went viral on social media.
