According to a new report from PWInsider, Morgan’s injury — which occurred in the opening moments of her match against Kairi Sane — is a 100% legitimate dislocated shoulder. Morgan was immediately evaluated by WWE medical personnel backstage after exiting the match.
The report also shuts down any speculation that the injury was a creative excuse to write Morgan off for an outside project, noting there is no truth to that theory.
At this time, WWE is awaiting the results of a full medical assessment to determine the exact severity of the injury. Should it be classified as a severe dislocation, recovery time could be as long as 16 weeks. However, that timeline is still subject to change depending on the extent of the damage.
