Backstage Update On Liv Morgan’s Injury

Following her injury on the June 16th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Liv Morgan has been confirmed to be legitimately hurt, with sources ruling out any storyline involvement.

According to a new report from PWInsider, Morgan’s injury — which occurred in the opening moments of her match against Kairi Sane — is a 100% legitimate dislocated shoulder. Morgan was immediately evaluated by WWE medical personnel backstage after exiting the match.

The report also shuts down any speculation that the injury was a creative excuse to write Morgan off for an outside project, noting there is no truth to that theory.

At this time, WWE is awaiting the results of a full medical assessment to determine the exact severity of the injury. Should it be classified as a severe dislocation, recovery time could be as long as 16 weeks. However, that timeline is still subject to change depending on the extent of the damage.

The incident is being treated as a freak accident, and there is no heat or blame on anyone involved, including Kairi Sane.
