Former AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion Niño Hamburguesa, who was fired by the company in March after footage of him attacking a fan at an indie event went viral, returned to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide during TripleMania 34 Night Two. He was revealed as the final entrant in the Copa Bardahl, which Omos ultimately won.
At the time of Hamburguesa’s firing, media reports indicated that people backstage at AAA were unhappy with the decision, as they felt he was a “good, hard worker.”
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, many backstage were not surprised to see Hamburguesa return because he was well-liked. Meltzer also mentioned that everyone anticipated his comeback and that WWE had only let him go to send a message to the roster about the unacceptability of attacking fans.
