Backstage Update On WWE’s Level Of Influence Over Busted Open Radio

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE sources have stated that the company is not influencing what the hosts of Busted Open discuss on their show since the show moved to SiriusXM. Meltzer noted that his WWE sources confirmed that the company is “staying out of any influence on the Busted Open show.”

The report compared WWE’s approach to that of NFL Radio, which covers league news and related topics without the NFL dictating what hosts should say.

WWE Radio is a 24-hour professional wrestling channel that launched in July as a partnership between WWE and SiriusXM. Busted Open is one of the programs featured on this station, hosted by Dave LaGreca and several co-hosts, including Bully Ray, Mark Henry, Tommy Dreamer, and Nic Nemeth.

The show also includes post-show reaction segments following RAW, NXT, and SmackDown. Since joining WWE Radio, Busted Open has continued to discuss, praise, and critique the company’s creative directions.
