Bayley suffered an injury on Sunday night.

WWE held a live event last night from the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury, Maryland that saw current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins defend his title against Finn Balor in the featured contest. Last night’s show also saw WWE Women’s Champion Asuka defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair and Bayley in a Fatal 4-Way Match.

The dreaded “X” sign was thrown up by the official for the match after Bayley fell in the ring and clutched her knee as she seemed to be in a lot of pain and that would result in the match being cut short with Asuka scoring a huge pinfall victory over Charlotte to retain her title. Immediately after the match, Bayley was examined by medical personnel and assisted to the back.

PWInsider.com is reporting that this isn’t a work and Bayley really suffered a legitimate injury. There’s no word yet on the actual injury that Bayley suffered, but it appears to be a knee injury. The leader of Damage CTRL was previously out of action for a year due to a torn ACL, but made her return at last year’s WWE SummerSlam Event, where she first introduced the Damage CTRL group with IYO SKY and Dakota Kai. Updates will be provided on Bayley’s condition once it has been made available.
