Bryan Danielson Addresses The Allegations Made Against Vince McMahon And John Laurinaitis

Bryan Danielson is the latest to comment on the claims against former WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon.

A complaint claimed that McMahon was implicated in a sex trafficking and abuse incident involving Janel Grant, a former WWE employee. The lawsuit also implicated the corporation and its former executive, John Laurinaitis.

This position is additionally difficult for Bryan because Laurinaitis is his father-in-law, having married Brie and Nikki Bella’s mother. During an appearance on The Gorilla Position, Danielson was asked about the allegations.

Here are the highlights:

On the allegations:

โ€œFirst and foremost, I want to say that people who have been hurt are, in a way, worse position than I am. My empathy goes to them. Thereโ€™s not a lot I want to say about it, honestly, other than, you know, because thereโ€™s, itโ€™s not just the Vince piece. Itโ€™s also my father-in-law and maybe ex-father-in-law as far as that kind of stuff goes. You think of somebody in some way, and then something happens, and it changes, right? Thatโ€™s always hardโ€ฆ.Like I said, as hard as that may be for me, like, emotionally, like this emotional thing that Iโ€™m like, you know this or whatever, itโ€™s way worse for people who have been victimized by people in power, right?โ€

On how Nikki and Brie Garcia have dealt with it:

โ€œIf they want to talk about it, they can talk about it. I think this should be a core tenet of everybodyโ€ฆ.if somebody is willing to tell you their feelings of something thatโ€™s really hard, that itโ€™s not your place to tell everybody else, right? So, yeah, if they want to talk about it, they can. Thatโ€™s not my jam.โ€
