WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray didn’t hold back during a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, taking aim at the promo segment between Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus on the July 4th, 2025 edition of SmackDown. The segment, which was designed to build hype for their upcoming match at WWE Evolution, left the veteran unimpressed — and he made that crystal clear.

Bully questioned the emotional depth and impact of the segment, arguing that Stratton lacks the character development needed to get fans invested.

“Why should I care about Tiffany Stratton? What about Tiffany Stratton makes me care? What does she do? What does she say? What type of emotional investment do I have in Tiffany Stratton?”

The former ECW legend compared the current WWE product to fast food, saying fans consume it out of habit rather than substance.

“This is why I’m telling you; WWE is becoming like a fast food chain…you continue to go there ’cause it’s all you know. And just because over 99 billion have been served doesn’t mean it’s nutritional food…It does absolutely nothing.”

Bully Ray further emphasized his disinterest in the Evolution match, stating:

“I do not care about the match between Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus. Nothing about what those women said to one another made me go ‘Wow. I want to see this.’ Nothing.”

Despite the criticism, the highly promoted match between Trish Stratus and Tiffany Stratton remains a key feature of the upcoming WWE Evolution premium live event. Stratton, a rising star on SmackDown, has been positioned as one of the new era’s top talents, while Stratus continues to make special appearances as a legendary figure in WWE’s women’s division.
