WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest recently opened up about one of the key perks he secured during his most recent contract negotiation with the company — first-class travel accommodations.
Appearing on Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, “The Archer of Infamy” shared that as part of his renewed WWE contract in 2023, he finally asked to fly in comfort — and WWE quickly approved the request.
“I was like, ‘Hey, I don’t wanna be in pain anymore. I don’t wanna wrestle and then be [hunched over],’” Priest said. “Because I’m sorry, I am a big guy and I don’t fit [in coach]. And they were like, ‘Yeah, that’s not a problem. You should’ve had that already.’ I was like, ‘Well, I don’t know the rules. I don’t know how to politic. I don’t know how to ask for stuff. That’s just not me.’”
Priest noted that it was the first time he actively negotiated a travel upgrade — and WWE was immediately receptive. “They were just like, ‘Yeah, you can sit at the front of the plane from now on.’”
The revelation came as part of a larger conversation about how WWE is taking care of its top stars, particularly those involved in high-profile international tours and main-event programs.
Priest isn’t alone in receiving such benefits. Current World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, who recently regained the title from Jey Uso on Raw, also secured a major perk in his latest deal: his own private tour bus.
As WWE continues to expand globally, especially with events in Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Europe, top stars being granted personalized travel accommodations signals a new era in how talent is valued and supported behind the scenes.
