WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg has delivered a thunderous take on the future of his legendary finishing move—the Spear. In a new interview with CBS Sports, Goldberg endorsed Bron Breakker as the only current WWE Superstar worthy of using the Spear, while firing shots at others for “diluting” his legacy.
Goldberg doubled down on recent comments from The Undertaker, who said the Spear should be retired by everyone except Bron Breakker. Goldberg didn’t hesitate in backing that claim.
“1,000%. He’s the only human being in the WWE that should be doing that,” Goldberg said. “I know I’m gonna catch a lot of hell from that, but I don’t care, because that’s the truth.”
Goldberg then pulled no punches when addressing the broader use of the move by stars like Edge and Roman Reigns, especially during his later WWE returns. He suggested their use of the Spear wasn’t coincidental—it was strategic.
“Let’s just talk about the reason why everybody started doing the Spear in the WWE,” Goldberg said. “They did it to make mine look bad… to downplay mine.”
